A Green Loan is a loan whose proceeds are exclusively applied to finance or refinance eligible green projects — for example renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean transport or green buildings. It follows the Green Loan Principles (GLP).
How is a Green Loan different from a Sustainability-Linked Loan?
Green Loans are use-of-proceeds instruments: the money must fund pre-defined green projects. SLLs are general-purpose loans whose pricing is linked to the borrower's Sustainability Performance Targets. Redigo Carbon supports both.
