What is a Sustainability-Linked Loan?
An SLL is a general-purpose loan whose economic terms - usually the interest margin - are linked to the borrower's achievement of pre-agreed Sustainability Performance Targets. Proceeds are not restricted.
How is an SLL different from a Green Loan?
SLLs are performance-based: pricing follows the borrower's SPT results, and funds can be used for any corporate purpose. Green Loans are use-of-proceeds: funds must finance eligible green projects. Redigo Carbon supports both.
What are SPTs?
Sustainability Performance Targets are quantitative, ambitious, material and independently verifiable targets. Typical examples: reduction in Scope 1+2 emissions, energy intensity, or waste diversion.
Do SLLs require a Second Party Opinion?
